Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Band 5 SACT nurse to join the Cancer Centre. You will deliver chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive treatments as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on patient safety and high-quality care.

The role requires at least 1 year of nursing experience, NMC registration, and competencies in venepuncture and cannulation. The post is full-time, Monday to Friday, with no night shifts, and offers a competitive NHS

Qualifications

• NMC registration required and active on the registry.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience in oncology/haematology preferred.
• Experience with venepuncture and cannulation essential.
• Competence in safely delivering SACT and supportive cancer treatments.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver SACT and supportive cancer treatments.
• Perform venepuncture, cannulation and access central lines.
• Assess and interpret acute patient conditions and initiate actions accordingly.
• Communicate professionally with patients and relatives; ensure concise documentation.
