Job summary

Midsomer Norton Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the Specialist Resource Base team. The role involves delivering bespoke learning experiences aligned to the National Curriculum for pupils with SPLD, and supporting transitions between the SRB and mainstream classes.

The position is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30, term time only with 2 INSET days, and a fixed term until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of SPLD and inclusive education.
• Ability to deliver bespoke learning experiences aligned to the National Curriculum.
• Commitment to supporting children across specialist base and mainstream settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, tailored learning experiences for SRB pupils.
• Bridge the gap between specialist base and mainstream classes, promoting inclusion.
• Support planning, feedback, and progress tracking in collaboration with staff.
