NHS Tayside is recruiting for a Pharmacist to join the NHS Scotland Pharmaceutical ‘Specials’ Service Production team. The role focuses on manufacturing high-quality unlicensed medicines and supporting investigational medicinal products for clinical trials across the UK.
The successful candidate will work within a regulated environment, ensuring GMP/GCP compliance and contributing to product development, documentation and quality assurance. Training will be provided where needed.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist to join the Production team at NHS Scotland Pharmaceutical ‘Specials’ Service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the manufacture and development of high-quality pharmaceutical products within a regulated environment.
PSS provides a national service providing patients across the UK with access to quality unlicensed medicines that are not commercially available from licensed manufacturers or are in short supply, and to provide Investigational Medicinal Products for clinical trials and research across the UK. The aim of the Production department is to manufacture and supply safe, quality and effective medicinal products.
Applications are welcomed from registered Pharmacists. Candidates would benefit from prior experience and/or knowledge of GMP, pharmaceutical manufacture, aseptic dispensing or quality assurance. However, full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Hours of work are 36 per week, Monday to Friday.
