Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Band 7/8a Pharmacist for 15 hours per week on a fixed term/secondment for 23 months. The post will develop education practice and post-registration pharmacist development activities across acute service, general practice and mental health sectors.

You will join the Education and Training team, supporting supervisors and learners, in partnership with NHS Tayside colleagues and training providers.

Qualifications

• GPhC-registered pharmacist with registration details.
• Preferably independent prescriber or actively training toward it.
• Experience across multiple NHS sectors (acute, general practice, mental health).

Responsibilities

• Support supervisor and learner groups across acute, general practice and mental health sectors.
• Contribute to planning and development of education and training structures.
• Collaborate with training providers and NHS colleagues to deliver post-registration development activities.

Pharmacist career development frameworks and programmes have developed to enable learners to develop their skills within the workplace. We are now seeking pharmacists who will contribute to the planning and development of our future workforce development structure.

You will be an active member of the Education and Training team providing support to supervisor and learner groups across acute service, general practice and mental health sectors. You will work in partnership with relevant training providers and colleagues across NHS Scotland and NHS Tayside teams.

We’re Looking For Individuals Who

Are GPhC-registered and preferably have experience across more than one sector

Hold a post-graduate qualification in advanced pharmacy practice or equivalent

Are independent prescribers (or working towards it)

Able to demonstrate excellent communication, team working & time management skills

Passionate about supporting learners and driving educational innovation
