The Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole Learning Disability Team is seeking a highly motivated Skilled Practitioner to join our team.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), Band 6 role, suitable for a Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, or Occupational Therapist with a passion for working with individuals with learning disabilities.
You must be a driver with full access to a car, as this is a community-based post.
We are looking for someone interested in working with a trauma-informed and person-centered approach. Creativity in engaging service users in meaningful ways to achieve effective outcomes is essential.
The ideal candidate will stay up-to-date with current evidence-based practices to inform clinical outcomes, providing high-quality, person-centered care that considers safety, privacy, and dignity.
Responsibilities include providing high-quality out-of-area care coordination, specialist assessments, treatments, and managing a caseload as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also offer specialist advice, devise care programs, and plan health improvement initiatives across various settings.
You will provide supervision, mentorship, training, and clinical support to students, practitioners, and care providers, contributing to the wider health and care system.
