No Night Shift Working Required

Are you interested in working with people in mental health crisis? We are a crisis home treatment team looking for new Band 6 RMN, OT, Social Worker or CAP to join our team. If you are a Band 5 ready to make the step in your development, then we would love to hear from you too. We support a Band 5 post with a clear personal development plan, aiming to support you into a Band 6 role within 6 months. We understand that practitioners have their specialist areas of interest and support pursuing them in the service where appropriate.

The access teams (and all the BANES teams) are very compassionate, with many staff supporting each other. As we work towards a home treatment model, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team including roles such as clinical associate psychologists. This scope offers excellent interprofessional learning and training opportunities.

We value our workforce highly. BANES Intensive is a great place to develop clinical and leadership skills, with personalized training options. Many clinicians have achieved promotions within the locality, opening up further roles within the team.

Main duties of the job

The Band 6 will have a leadership role within the team. Responsibilities may include:

  1. Accepting and reviewing referrals
  2. Completing holistic psychosocial assessments in community and hospital settings for home treatment or hospital admission gatekeeping
  3. Attending Mental Health Act assessments and offering home treatment plans when indicated
  4. Implementing Risk Management and Care Plans for effective home treatment, utilizing least restrictive practices
  5. Managing medication and ensuring concordance within the community
  6. Other duties as outlined in the job description

Good communication and organizational skills, along with excellent clinical knowledge, are essential. The role includes a comprehensive induction and a supported transition period.

BANES IS offers flexible working options to promote a positive work/life balance. We support practitioners' interests and professional development where appropriate.

This role involves shift work, including some 9-5 shifts, evenings, and weekends.
