Job summary

The Alexandra Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Specialist Nurse to join the plastics team at our Cheadle site. You will manage patients requiring reconstruction or cosmetic surgery across the full pathway, from pre-admission to post-operative follow-up, delivering expert, evidence-based care.

The role covers complex cases such as cancer-related reconstructions, trauma, and elective aesthetic procedures. A Level 7 qualification and valid NMC registration are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Level 7 qualification in the relevant specialty area.
• Demonstrable specialist knowledge and advanced clinical skills within a defined field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based care within your area of specialism, acting as a clinical expert and role model.
• Support assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with complex or long-term conditions.
• Provide education, support, and counselling to patients and families, empowering them to understand and manage their health conditions.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, GPs, allied health professionals, and other nursing colleagues to support integrated, patient-centred care.
• Act as a resource for education and clinical development within your specialty.
• Lead or support audits, patient feedback initiatives, and quality improvement programmes related to your specialist area.
