Are you an experienced Band 5 or current Band 6 Physiotherapist, with an interest in developing and furthering skills in the Orthopaedic specialty?

If so, this could be the role for you!

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within the existing team on Orthopaedic Inpatients at York Hospital.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the high standard of care provided for our patients, support student and peer education, and contribute towards the Orthopaedic weekend service.

We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking practitioner with the desire to develop and improve services. You must have relevant clinical experience, excellent communication, and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Undertake the specialist physiotherapy assessment and management of a designated group of patients within the musculoskeletal orthopaedic outpatient and inpatient settings.
  2. Provide support, specialist advice, and training to junior staff and students.
  3. Act as a resource within the department and Trust, offering specialist information and advice regarding orthopaedic patients.
  4. Be responsible for a defined area of service, working independently. Clinical work will be evaluated in line with Trust and service objectives, with access to senior support when needed.
