Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Community Stroke and Neurological Conditions team. We are looking for a band 6 Physiotherapist to join the multi-disciplinary team working with Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Specialist Nurses, Rehab Assistants and a Psychologist. The posts will rotate between Early Supported Discharge service for stroke, Community Neuro Service and Outpatient Neuro Clinic.

Central to this role are:

• a minimum of 2 years post-grad work with a wide range of rotational experience working with complex patients.
• a proven interest in neurorehabilitation and long-term condition management
• experience of working autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• must be able to manage time effectively, prioritise demands of the service, while supporting the Band 7 team lead
• experience in line management and supervision
• an understanding/experience of working in a community setting
• some Saturday working will be required on a rota basis

You must be a licensed car driver and have access to a car for this post.

Main duties of the job

Independent management of a designated caseload of patients requiring specialist neurological rehabilitation.

Demonstrate a commitment to keeping up to date with developments in evidence-based practice and ensuring delivery of high-quality care to all patients on the caseload.

Effective prioritisation of clinical and administrative duties to meet the needs of the service.
