Band 6 Neuro Rotational Physiotherapist (9 months)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a physiotherapist with proven clinical skills to join the Band 6 neurophysiotherapy rotational circuit at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest teaching hospital Foundation Trusts in the country, employing over 300 physiotherapy staff.
Main duties of the job
You will gain experience treating a wide variety of neurological conditions in the acute, outpatient, and community settings. You will have the opportunity to develop both your clinical and non-clinical skills, including appraisal and supervision of junior staff and students, participation in projects contributing to service development, and delivery of training programmes and teaching within the Trust and partner organisations.
About us
There are six rotations in the neurophysiotherapy circuit:
Each rotation lasts 9 months and is supported by experienced senior staff and clinical specialists. Staff should be prepared to participate in any of the rotations within the circuit. These posts are suitable for an experienced Band 5 physiotherapist or a current Band 6 physiotherapist seeking to gain specific neurological physiotherapy experience and further develop skills and knowledge. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, teamwork, enthusiasm, and a willingness to develop their clinical practice.
