Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is recruiting a Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Community Learning Disability Team in Glasgow. The role involves assessing complex needs, delivering interventions, and promoting independence within a multi‑agency team.

Based at Petershill Park Business Centre with core hours Mon–Fri 9am–5pm; 36 hpw. The service emphasises continuous professional development and leadership for staff and students.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
• Current HCPC registration and eligibility to practice.
• Experience in learning disability and/or mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Manage a clinical caseload for adults with learning disabilities.
• Conduct specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
• Provide adaptations, equipment, and environmental design recommendations.
• Support independence and participation in daily living activities.
