Job summary

We are recruiting a part-time Specialist in Orthodontics for our Community Dental Service based at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. The post provides clinical care for patients who struggle to access treatment in general practice and balances hospital and community duties.

The role involves specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning with MDT colleagues, supporting services for complex cases and contributing to leadership and pathway development. Full GDC registration required.

Qualifications

• Specialist orthodontic assessment and diagnosis.
• Experience in specialist orthodontic practice.
• Interface with special care and paediatric dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Undertake specialist orthodontic consultations and treatment planning.
• Provide fixed and removable appliance therapy within the community service.
• Coordinate prevention, stabilisation and referral pathways with MDT colleagues.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit and patient safety.
• Deliver care across community clinics and hospital settings.
