Hours can vary, with Thursday (all day) coverage essential. (Note: Salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.)
Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT) services enable the delivery of intravenous and complex oral antimicrobials to outpatients. This model supports Hospital at Home and aligns with NHS Scotland's Urgent and Unscheduled Care agenda. This new post offers a unique opportunity to work within a specialist multidisciplinary infection team.
We seek an enthusiastic Pharmacist to support the expansion of our OPAT service, mainly across Clyde hospitals, with remote support for the wider GGC OPAT service. The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical pharmacy services in line with BSAC OPAT Good Practice Recommendations and SAPG KPIs, including:
Training and mentorship are provided, aligned with the GGC antimicrobial stewardship agenda. There is an opportunity to develop evidence for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Advanced Pharmacy Framework. The candidate must have or be working towards independent prescribing qualification.
