An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and proactive pharmacy assistant with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to join the cancer pharmacy team at the Horton.

This role is suitable for someone with either a hospital pharmacy background or community pharmacy experience wishing to transition into a hospital environment. Appropriate training will be provided. Candidates must have successfully achieved the relevant units of pharmacy services skills NVQ level (QCF) or an equivalent GPhC accredited training program. Applications for part-time or flexible working are considered.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Work in reception taking prescriptions
  • Deliver high-quality pharmacy services for out-patients and day treatment patients
  • Label and dispense prescriptions
  • Support and order medications for oncology and hematology wards (training provided)
