The London Clinic is seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to join the Urology, Nephrology and Neurosciences team in London. You will care for patients with diverse needs, develop clinical knowledge and work with colleagues who share a commitment to safe, compassionate nursing.

You will assess patients, prepare for investigations, support surgeries, manage pain and contribute to safe discharge while delivering high-quality patient care across specialty areas.

Formación

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse.
• At least two years of Band 5 experience in a gastrointestinal environment.
• Experience in acute nursing with high standards of clinical practice.
• Competence in intravenous medicines administration, venepuncture, cannulation, ECG recording and epidural care.
• Ability to organise care, prioritise effectively and provide clear clinical guidance.
• Confidence using electronic patient records and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Commitment to continued learning, patient safety and developing others.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised nursing care, considering physical and emotional needs.
• Prepare patients for investigations and procedures and provide care before and after surgery.
• Monitor recovery, recognise changes and escalate concerns promptly.
• Support pain management, mobility, nutrition, personal care and independence.
• Administer medicines safely within assessed competencies.
• Communicate clearly with patients and relatives to involve them in decisions.
• Coordinate treatment and discharge planning with consultants and the MDT.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and provide clear handovers.
• Support healthcare assistants and students, contributing to a positive team.
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety procedures and contribute to audits and improvements.
