Job summary

Warwick College Group seeks a Specialist Learning Mentor to provide targeted 1:1 and in-class mentoring, supporting student progress and retention. The role involves assisting with material preparation, encouraging independent learning, and collaborating with SEN teams to monitor EHCP targets.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will record progress, maintain ProMonitor updates, and participate in exams support and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Evidence of Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
• Qualification in Autism Spectrum Condition preferred or required.
• Experience supporting young people with SEND in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-class and out-of-class mentoring to identified students.
• Assist with adapting materials and activities for named students.
• Promote independent learning, including use of technology.
• Act as a key worker to help students achieve EHCP outcomes.
• Support EHCP annual reviews and monitor individual targets.
• Collaborate with tutors to track student progress and communicate with parents as needed.
• Attend academy and inclusion meetings; undertake required training.
• Provide invigilator or reader/scribe support in exams when required.
• Support students on work experience placements or trips.
• Maintain administrative records and progress reports.
