Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain, through its WithYou team in Fife, is seeking a permanent frontline worker to support people affected by drug and alcohol harm. You will provide harm reduction interventions, deliver one-to-one work, and engage with partner agencies while managing an active caseload.

Occasional evenings and weekends required; a driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, with cover for other WithYou sites when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in health, social care, criminal justice or related sector.
• Experience delivering group work in outreach/community settings.
• Track record of efficient and reliable customer service.

What’s required

Experience

• Experience in a health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for the drug and alcohol sector
• Experience delivering group work in outreach and community settings
• Track record of efficient and reliable customer service

Skills & knowledge

• Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based interventions
• Knowledge of health and safety, including assessing clients in high-risk situations
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues
• Resilience under pressure and ability to prioritise work
• Highly organised, with excellent communication and time management
• Comfortable using IT and digital media
