Job summary

NHS Tayside invites applications for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Rohallion Clinic team at Murray Royal Hospital, Perth. The post spans both Medium and Low security with opportunities to enhance clinical, professional and leadership skills.

The successful candidate will hold HCPC registration with a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and substantial post-registration experience in mental health, ideally including forensic settings.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration.
• Extensive post-registration experience, mainly in mental health.
• Experience in forensic settings is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a multi-professional team.
• Knowledge of current evidence-based practice and professional legislation.

Responsibilities

• Work across Medium and Low security as specialist OT.
• Provide leadership and supervision within the AHP service.
• Support CPD, learning plans and innovative practice.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary forensic mental health team.
