Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist EPMA Pharmacist to support the delivery, development and optimisation of the SHOU EPMA system. You will work with Pharmacy, Digital Services and clinical staff to improve prescribing workflows and patient safety.

This role combines clinical pharmacy practice with digital transformation, enabling safer medicines management across the Trust and opportunities to contribute to service improvement and training.

Qualifications

• UK registered Pharmacist with GPhC registration.
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
• Clinical Diploma or Accredited/Postgraduate Qualification approved by GPhC or equivalent.
• ILM Level 3 or equivalent.

Southmead Hospital Operational Unit (SHOU), part of Bristol NHS Foundation Trust , has recently implemented an Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) system moving into the maintenance and optimisation stage of our journey.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our Pharmacy EPMA team and support the ongoing development, implementation and optimisation of our EPMA system. Main duties of the job

About the role

As a Specialist EPMA Pharmacist, you will work closely with the Lead EPMA Pharmacist, Pharmacy colleagues, Digital Services teams and clinical staff to support the delivery of EPMA and other medicines-related digital initiatives. You will contribute to system development, testing, training and optimisation, while using your clinical expertise to improve workflows, enhance patient safety and support service improvement. The role also includes a clinical pharmacy component , ensuring you maintain and develop your clinical skills alongside digital responsibilities.
