Job summary

North Bristol NHS Trust is seeking a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician with extensive aseptic preparation experience to join the Southmead Hospital Pharmacy team. You will support the Lead Technician, coordinate training, and manage daily workload in a busy hospital aseptic unit.

Recent accreditation experience preferred; training can be offered. You will work 37.5 hours per week in a full-time role, with opportunities to develop within a dynamic NHS Trust.

Responsibilities

Southmead Hospital Pharmacy, part of the Bristol NHS Foundation Trust are looking to appoint a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician with extensive knowledge of Aseptic preparation, excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic technician to become part of a dynamic and forward thinking team delivering a high level service to an expanding and developing establishment.

Recent accreditation of Pre- and In- process checking is preferred, but training can be offered. You must also be willing to take on the Product Approval Accreditation.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will assist the Lead Technician in the application of EU-GMP through the appraisal and development of a robust programme of training toensure that all staff are compliant with regulatory requirements. You will play an integral role in managing daily workload, the supervision of junior staff, and co-ordination of environmental monitoring with QualityControl. You must also be able to show that you have recent experience of working in a similar capacity, have an in-depth knowledge ofaseptic preparation, an understanding of the exacting standards of EU-GMP and be able to demonstrate that you enjoy the challenge of training.

Person specification

Education

• NVQ 3 or Equivalent
• Current registration with GPhC
• Evidence of C.P.D

Work Experience

• Post qualification experience within a UK Hospital Aseptic Unit
• Experience of working with GMP standards
