Job summary

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is recruiting for a role within the new Community Eating Disorders Service. The post involves direct clinical care, supporting a multidisciplinary team, and outpatient assessment and follow-up of patients with eating disorders.

The post holder will work alongside specialists in nursing, psychology, dietetics and social care, performing medical and psychiatric assessments, risk reviews, and coordinating care with referrers and carers as needed.

Qualifications

• Direct clinical care within an Eating Disorders Service.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, nurse therapists, psychologists, dietitians, occupational therapists, social workers, and peer support workers.
• Outpatient assessment and follow-up with management of psychiatric and physical comorbidity.

Responsibilities

• Support consultants in providing high quality services to patients with eating disorders.
• Assess and manage patients with a range of eating disorders; include psychiatric and general medical care.
• Carry out full medical assessment, mental state examination and physical examination when appropriate.
• Liaise with referrers, relatives and carers and other disciplines.
• Attend team meetings and clinical reviews, leading such events if required.
• Conduct, and regularly review, risk assessments and determine management strategies to reduce risks.
