An established industry player is seeking two dedicated individuals to join their dynamic Dietetic Prescribing Support Service. This exciting role involves providing critical support in dietetic prescribing across various London boroughs, enhancing patient care through collaboration with healthcare teams. We are offering an exciting opportunity for two individuals to join our team, with roles including a 10-month fixed-term maternity cover and a 6-month fixed-term secondment until January 2026.

The service, commissioned by SEL ICS, provides dietetic prescribing support across Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Bexley, and Bromley.
The adult PSD team includes a Principal Prescribing Support Dietitian, two Senior Specialist PSDs, and three Specialist PSDs, supported by two Advanced Dietetic Assistants. The service also covers pediatric prescribing support with three PSDs.
The goal is to improve and standardize care pathways for patients needing oral nutrition support, reviewing prescribed nutrition supplements, and collaborating with Primary Care Networks, acute care teams, and community care homes to optimize nutritional care.
We also provide training and guidance to GPs, pharmacists, and community healthcare teams on malnutrition identification and treatment, and appropriate use of oral nutrition support products.
This service aims to enhance nutritional care quality for at-risk patients while ensuring efficient use of healthcare resources.
Applicants should be motivated, proactive, and capable of engaging stakeholders, with strong data analysis and clinical dietetics skills, and the ability to meet report deadlines.
You will join a large dietetics department of over 120 staff working across various hospitals and community services, committed to staff development and healthcare innovation.
