Zusammenfassung

Cygnet Hospital Taunton is recruiting a highly specialist dietitian for a new 15-bed neuro-cognitive inpatient service caring for older adults with complex cognitive, neurological and psychiatric needs.

The post centres on assessing referred patients and writing individual dietetic plans, alongside advising staff and working with catering and speech and language colleagues on meal plans and feeding regimens.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or postgraduate diploma in dietetics, or equivalent.
• HCPC registration as a dietitian.
• Membership of the British Dietetic Association.

Aufgaben

• Carry out comprehensive dietetic assessment of need for patients referred for dietetic input
• Produce individualised dietetic plans for patients
• Hold a small active caseload
• Deliver direct one-to-one dietetic input, unit-based clinics and possibly group work
• Advise and guide staff supporting patients
• Work with the catering team, speech and language team and wider multidisciplinary team on meal plans and feeding regimens
• Decide how dietetic input is best delivered to meet the needs of individuals and the service
