Specialist Dental Nurse, HMP Wayland, Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days

Base: HMP Wayland, Thompson Road, Griston, Thetford, IP25 6RL

Salary: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Dental Nurse to support the dental team in providing dental care at HMP Wayland.

Main duties of the job

Your main responsibility will be to provide clinical support across a range of treatments for a male adult client base and assist the team in managing an efficient dental service within the prison environment.

The postholder will lead the clinical supervision of dental nurses, including training and oversight, within the prison setting. As an official keyholder, you will be responsible for ensuring the dental department remains secure at all times and will carry out high-level training for the dental team.

Strong interpersonal, communication, IT, and organisational skills are essential. Experience with dental software is advantageous; training will be provided if needed.

The primary location is HMP Wayland, but support at other HMP sites may occasionally be required, so car ownership is desirable.
