In this role, you'll be at the forefront of community care, providing essential support for individuals with progressive neurological conditions and offering universal palliative care.

Main Duties

1. To act as a specialist independent practitioner in the systematic autonomous provision of Speech and Language Therapy services for adults with speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties in a multi-disciplinary team.
2. To be responsible for the speech and language assessments, differential diagnosis, treatment and discharge of individuals within these well-resourced networks.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications/Experience

Essential criteria:

• Relevant SALT qualification
• Registered SALT HCPC
• Appropriate SALT clinical skills
• Experience of working with other professionals
• Evidence of working in a person-centred and outcome-focused way
• Experience of case load management and post-qualifying experience
• Good verbal and written skills

Desirable criteria:

• Experience of working in the community
• Experience of mentoring others
