Job summary

NewDay is seeking a Commercial FP&A Specialist to partner with stakeholders, lead budgeting and forecasting, and provide performance insights. The role focuses on financial planning, forecasting and modelling, driving investment decisions and value creation across the credit business.

You will develop and enhance financial models and Anaplan-based planning tools, deliver management reporting, and support strategic initiatives with data-driven recommendations.

A Commercial FP&A Specialist is a key partner to stakeholders across NewDay, providing financial planning, forecasting and performance insight that supports strategic decision-making.The role leads budgeting and forecasting activities, delivers management reporting, supports investment business cases and transformation initiatives, and owns performance analysis and financial modelling, including NewDay's Anaplan model.By providing clear, actionable insight into business performance, investment returns and resource deployment, the role enables effective prioritisation, cost control and long-term value creation. Working closely with leaders across the business, it helps ensure investment decisions are informed, resources are allocated effectively, and strategic objectives are achieved.How you'll contributeLead budgeting, forecasting and planning activities for the Credit Business, helping the business make informed strategic and operational decisions.Deliver insightful financial analysis and performance reporting that highlights key drivers, trends, opportunities and risks.Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to support investment decisions and strategic initiatives.Develop and enhance financial models, forecasts and planning tools, including supporting the ongoing development of Anaplan.Provide commercial challenge and guidance on business proposals and initiatives to maximise value delivery.We're looking for these essential skillsA highly motivated self-starter who takes ownership of work and proactively delivers improvements to achieve objectives and deliver resultsThe ability to translate financial data into clear, meaningful insight that supports business decision-making.Strong financial planning, forecasting and modelling skills, with the ability to analyse complex information and identify key drivers of performance.Experience building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and influencing decisions through data-driven recommendations.The ability to communicate financial information clearly and confidently to both finance and non-finance audiences.A recognised accountancy qualification, or equivalent professional financial qualification, alongside a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis principles.It's a plus if you also have these skillsKnowledge of financial services, lending, payments or regulated business environments.Experience working with enterprise planning tools such as Anaplan.Externally, this role may also be known as Finance Business Partner or Senior FP&A Analyst.#LI-Hybrid#LI-TM1At NewDay, we value all types of diversity.
