Job summary

NewDay Cards Limited is seeking a Reconciliations Analyst for a part-time role in Leeds. You will perform daily reconciliation activities, investigate variances, and collaborate with Finance and Operations to resolve issues, ensuring accurate financial records.

The role emphasizes strong analytical abilities, Excel proficiency, and clear communication with stakeholders. You will contribute to process improvements while maintaining documentation and controls in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation activities, including matching, investigation and escalation of aged items.
• Complete monthly ledger reconciliations, adjustments and transfers accurately and on time.
• Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
• Support issue resolution and remediation activities, ensuring risks are managed appropriately.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain reconciliation documentation in line with policy requirements.

Job description

This is a part-time role. As a Reconciliations Analyst, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of NewDay's financial records. Working closely with Finance and Operational teams, you'll investigate and resolve reconciliation variances, analyse financial data, identify risks and help drive process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data and building strong stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced financial environment.

• Previous experience in a reconciliations, finance operations or accounting environment.
• Knowledge of financial controls, governance or risk management processes.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Understanding of issue management and remediation activities.
