An established industry player in mental health services is seeking a Specialist Clinical Practitioner who will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and support. This position involves managing a small caseload, offering prescribing advice, and leading team meetings. The post holder will be based at St Johns Court, Exmouth and will be line managed by the Consultant Psychiatrist within the team. They will be responsible for carrying a small caseload, supporting colleagues with complex cases, and providing prescribing advice.
The post holder will be expected to cover days at Devon Memory Service (DMS). In the absence of senior colleagues, the post holder will be responsible for leading team meetings and supporting with triaging new patients to the team.
As a prescriber in the team, the post holder will support the prescribing needs of care homes and assist in decision making for our new Post Diagnostic Follow Up (PDFU) Service.
The post holder will monitor and lead improvements of standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, implementation of evidence-based practice, teaching, and support of colleagues and professional leadership.
