Job summaryUp to 37.5 hours per week.
The primary function of this role is to undertake triage of patients presenting to the ED by completing a brief assessment of issues and risk and formulating, communicating and documenting an appropriate management plan or signposting away from the department to suitable other community based crisis services. Full mental health assessments will also be a key aspect of this role.
Main duties of the jobThe role will support the ED front door by actively reviewing and responding to MH presentations within the department, there will be no need for a formal referral from the ED in order for the practitioner to initiate a mental health triage this will support patient flow and colleagues within urgent care.
This role may not be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route; please refer to the Direct Gov website for more information with regards to eligibility.
