Qualifications

• Postgraduate doctoral-level training in clinical or applied psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
• Current HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments for children referred to the service using psychometric and neuropsychological tools, rating scales, observations and interviews.
• Develop psychological formulations and deliver evidence-based interventions; monitor progress and exercise autonomous professional responsibility for assessment, treatment planning and discharge.
• Offer specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to multidisciplinary colleagues and other agencies; contribute to risk assessment and care planning; may act as care co-ordinator.
• Contribute to teaching, training, supervision, audit, research and service evaluation to advance psychologically informed practice across the service.
