Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Bank Senior Practitioner Psychologist to support the Neurodevelopmental Hub in Birmingham. This zero-hours, bank-only role offers flexible working to deliver highly specialist assessments and interventions for children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs.

Qualifications

• Specialist psychological assessment and intervention for neurodevelopmental/complex mental health needs.
• Leadership, consultation and supervision to psychology colleagues and wider teams.
• Active involvement in service development, governance and research activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist assessments and formulate treatment plans for children and young people.
• Lead MDT discussions and contribute to diagnostic decisions per NICE guidelines.
• Supervise practitioners, trainees and research staff to promote professional development.
• Support service evaluation, audits and research to improve neurodevelopmental care.
