Livewell Southwest invites applications for a Band 6 mental health practitioner within the CAMHS Eating Disorder Pathway. The role covers assessing and treating children and young people with eating disorders, managing a personal caseload and supporting families, in a multidisciplinary team.

The post is 22.5 hours, Monday to Friday, with duties across the eating disorder service rota and opportunities for professional supervision and training.

Formación

• Core qualification in a mental health modality.
• Postgraduate training in working with children with mental health problems.

Responsabilidades

• Provide specialist assessment and evidence-based interventions for children and young people with eating disorders.
• Take a key role in assessments, care planning and coordination including physical health risk.
• Manage a defined caseload, planning, delivering and reviewing care with families and team.
• Liaise with psychiatry, paediatrics, GP, dietetics and other professionals involved in care.
• Provide mental health assessment, formulation and interventions informed by CAMHS knowledge.
• Work to guidance for medical emergencies in eating disorders, including MEED.
• Support parents, carers and wider family, including mealtime support at home.
• Assess risk and communicate concerns, including multi-agency risk management.
• Contribute to the Monday to Friday eating disorder duty rota.
• Provide consultation to CAMHS staff and deliver education/training to professionals.
• Maintain clinical records to Livewell Southwest standards and use routine outcome monitoring.
• Engage in supervision and audit activities.
