East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a well-organised Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join the Haematology & Blood Transfusion team. The role is based at Eastbourne DGH with cross-site work and full 24/7 shift coverage after training.

The department uses automated platforms and is moving toward a unified Blood Sciences structure. HCPC registration with a Specialist Portfolio in Haematology/Transfusion is required, with NHS or IBMS-approved lab experience.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as Biomedical Scientist with Specialist Portfolio in Haematology/Transfusion.
• Experience in Haematology/Blood Transfusion within NHS or an IBMS-approved lab.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through Haematology, Coagulation and Blood Transfusion sections.
• Participate in full 24/7 shift rota after training and assessment.
• Contribute to ongoing move toward a unified Blood Sciences structure and cross-discipline training.
