We invite applications from motivated HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientists for a role within the Haematology laboratory at UHSussex. The successful candidate will rotate through all sections of the laboratory across our hospital sites.
Candidates working towards their IBMS Specialist Portfolio are eligible; the full Band 6 post will be awarded upon completion.
The department offers Haematology, Coagulation, Immunohaematology, and Blood Transfusion services, holds ISO 15189 accreditation, and is approved for training by the Institute of Biomedical Sciences.
Major investments and upcoming developments will reinforce the Trust’s role as a healthcare leader in South East England.
The Haematology department operates four sections across two sites. The successful candidate will work across all sections and participate in a 24-hour shift system, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays, subject to competency assessment. Additional pay applies for out-of-hours work.
