A leading NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Blood Transfusion and Haematology. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating results, training staff, and managing quality. This role requires HCPC registration, experience, and skills in communication and teamwork. We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Blood Transfusion and Haematology to join our team at the UHCW site. To apply, you must be HCPC registered as a Biomedical Scientist, have completed an IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Haematology or equivalent, and have experience working as a band 5 in Blood Transfusion and Haematology in an NHS laboratory.
The successful candidate must be willing to manage a busy workload, be forward-thinking, and keen to develop new skills. Good communication skills, the ability to work successfully as part of a team, and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential.
Participation in the 24/7 shift rota is expected.
