Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Applied Psychologist to join the Durham Adult Learning Disability Service. The post is open to newly qualified or experienced psychologists, with progression from Band 7 to 8a depending on experience, and potential developmental progression to 8a.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate training at doctoral level or equivalent in clinical/counselling/forensic psychology as accredited by the BPS.
• HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist is required.
• Post doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
• Experience in clinical supervision and supervision of doctoral trainees.
• Training in care co-ordination is desirable.
• Ongoing CPD and registration with BPS.
• Registered with BPS and eligible for HCPC registration.

• Provide psychological assessments and a therapeutic, consultative and advisory service for adults with learning disabilities.
• Provide supervision and consultation to team members regarding patient care.
• Engage in service development activities and lead opportunities for special interests within the service.
• Demonstrate patient-centred values and commitment to high quality mental health care.
