Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Applied Psychologist to work within the Durham Adult Learning Disability Service. The post supports adults with learning disabilities and families across integrated community teams, with potential progression through Band 7 to 8a.

The role welcomes those nearing qualification and HCPC-registered practitioners, with opportunities for leadership, supervision and service development within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
• HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
• Post doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
• Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees
• Trained in care co-ordination
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Registration with BPS

Responsabilités

• Provide psychological assessments for adults with learning disabilities.
• Offer therapeutic, consultative and advisory services to families and carers.
• Deliver direct clinical work and provide supervision to team members as needed.
• Lead or contribute to service development activities and joint working with agencies.
