Type: Full-time

About the Role

Leveraging nearly a century of innovation, Bull is a global leader in High-Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Quantum technologies, with circa €720 million in revenue and 3,000 professionals operating in 32 countries. Following its acquisition by the French State in March 2026, Bull is now an independent company with a long‑term strategic shareholder, ensuring stability and continuity in support of European technological sovereignty. Bull designs, manufactures and operates supercomputers – including the BullSequana exascale range – at the only supercomputer manufacturing plant in Europe, and delivers hardware, software and strategic services that unlock enterprise value, accelerate scientific research and advance society.

We are seeking a specialised sales professional to lead growth of Bull's HPC, AI and Quantum business in the UK, with particular focus on large‑scale public and private procurements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop and close new business opportunities within the HPC, AI and Quantum computing market in the UK.
  • Lead major procurement campaigns end‑to‑end, including framework and public tender processes (e.g. UKRI, national research facilities, government and Enterprise).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners across the UK HPC and AI community.
  • Position Bull's Enterprise AI portfolio (AI super clusters, GPU servers, sovereign AI platforms and AI use cases) alongside HPC and Quantum offerings.
  • Create and present compelling technical solutions and proposals.
  • Meet and exceed annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design custom HPC and AI solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends, including exascale computing, AI infrastructure and quantum‑classical hybrid computing.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales in HPC or AI infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of winning procurements above £10M, including competitive public tenders.
  • Strong understanding of HPC technologies, architectures and applications.
  • Knowledge of the Enterprise AI business line: AI platforms, GPU‑accelerated infrastructure, and enterprise AI use cases and deployment.
  • Experience selling to research institutions, universities, government bodies and commercial enterprises.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a scientific field (or equivalent experience).
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of parallel computing, storage solutions and high‑performance networking.
  • Understanding of scientific and engineering applications.
  • Understanding of AI methods, machine learning and large language model training/inference infrastructure.
  • Existing relationships within the UK HPC and AI community.
  • Familiarity with UK public procurement and framework agreements.
  • Negotiation experience and a record of closing complex, multi‑year deals.
  • Awareness of quantum computing and emulation (e.g. Qaptiva, myQLM).
  • Business qualification or MBA.
  • Competitive base salary and variable compensation
  • Professional technical development opportunities
  • Flexible working arrangements

The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated, results‑driven and passionate about technology, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions to diverse stakeholders — and to navigate large, complex procurement processes to a winning conclusion. They will have a well developed network of contacts in the HPC and AI community and will be able to contribute to the team quickly.

Bull is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals.
