Job summary

Edward Worlledge Ormiston Academy, part of Ormiston Academies Trust, is seeking a Special Support Assistant to join a supportive, experienced team who work with professionals from diverse backgrounds to meet children's physical, medical, sensory and emotional needs.

You will contribute to a nurturing environment where every child can succeed, within a community school for 4–11 year olds, with a strong emphasis on a values-led ethos and individual attention.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children with similar needs is preferable but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Be part of a team where passion meets purpose and work with professionals from diverse backgrounds to meet the needs of our children.

Responsibilities

  • Support the physical, medical, sensory and emotional needs of our children.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of professionals to plan and deliver individualised support.

Job description

Experience of working with children of a similar need is always preferable, but not essential, and full training will always be given. We offer excellent support to our staff, ensuring that all get the additional support and training they need and opportunities to build upon their experience. As one of our Special Support Assistants, you will be working with a supportive and experienced team who work collaboratively with professionals from a wide range of backgrounds to meet the physical, medical, sensory and emotional needs of our children.
