Job summary

Ormiston Academies Trust is seeking a Special Support Assistant (maternity cover) to join our friendly team in a school setting. Experience with children with similar needs is preferred, but full training will be provided.

You will work with a supportive team to address physical, medical, sensory and emotional needs and help children achieve their potential. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a positive, collaborative school community while developing skills across specialist areas

Experience of working with children of a similar need is always preferable, but not essential, and full training will always be given. We offer excellent support to our staff, ensuring that all get the additional support and training they need and opportunities to build upon their experience. As one of our Special Support Assistants, you will be working with a supportive and experienced team who work collaboratively with professionals from a wide range of backgrounds to meet the physical, medical, sensory and emotional needs of our children.
