Birmingham City Council is seeking a Managing Attendance Coordinator in Birmingham. You will work as the single point of contact for Birmingham's special schools on pupil attendance, meeting with schools to agree targeted actions and access to services for children with poor attendance.

The role emphasizes building relationships, providing policy guidance, multi-agency collaboration, and leading professional involvement in cases of severe absence while supporting safeguarding and education

Formación

• Two years' casework experience in schools, youth services, social care or LA attendance services.

Responsabilidades

• Build positive relationships with senior attendance champions in schools.
• Provide advice on attendance policy, multi-agency support, and contribute to attendance action plans with the child at the centre.
• Provide high quality advice, signposting and supportive challenge to schools on cases of poor attendance and safeguarding thresholds.
