Job summary

Ravenshall School, part of Kirklees Council, is seeking a committed Cover Supervisor to join our Special Schools division. You will provide cover for absent staff, deliver set work, and support students with diverse needs in a forward‑facing school environment.

Applicants from mainstream or Special Education backgrounds are welcome as we offer strong in‑house CPD and supportive leadership. DBS check is required and visits are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cover supervisor or in a similar school role.
• Ability to deliver set work and manage pupil behaviour.
• Experience supporting pupils with diverse needs within a school.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover supervision for absent teaching staff and deliver set work.
• Monitor behaviour and support colleagues in the classroom.
• Support students in class groups and 1:1 or small group sessions.
