Job summary

The Oaks Secondary School in Spennymoor, County Durham, is seeking a Teaching Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis (37 hours per week). The role operates term time only plus 10 days and requires delivering SEN support to pupils aged 11–19 with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant, NNEB, CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing.
• Experience delivering educational and social programmes with individuals or groups of young people with SEN.
• Ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers and TAs to implement programmes.
