  • Mindful experience supporting special needs, especially ESOL and SEMH.
  • Background or keen interest in Psychology and Mental Health.

Job description

A diverse SEN school in Merton is looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support a pupil in KS3 on a 1:1 basis who is non-verbal, engaging well with sensory cues and PECs.

Position details:

  1. Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to start ASAP
  2. Long-term with the scope to go permanent, based on your performance
  3. Hours are 8:30am-4:00pm

The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant will have:

  1. At least 3 months’ experience supporting special and additional needs, especially ESOL (English as a Second Language), SEMH (social emotional mental health), and associated behavioural needs.
  2. A background and/or keen interest in Psychology, Mental Health, and Therapeutic Intervention.
