Job summary

Career Teachers is seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) in Ealing to support students with additional needs. You will work 8:30am to 3:30pm (some days 4pm) delivering one-to-one and small-group support and assisting teachers with inclusive lessons.

Qualifications

  • Caring, patient and empathetic by nature.
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
  • Remain calm, flexible and resilient in challenging situations.
  • SEN experience desirable but not essential; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support students with learning, communication, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
  • Foster a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents where appropriate.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and personal development.

Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Location: Ealing

Hours: 830am to 330pm depending on lunch can be 4pm

Salary: 95 to 110 per day

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support students with learning, communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents where appropriate.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and personal development.
About You
