Job Description:

We are looking for SEN teaching assistants with a genuine passion for helping children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will be qualified and experienced. Newly qualified Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching assistants are encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time position based in Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield. Details include:

  • Location – Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham
  • Position – SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Start date – ASAP
  • Duration – Contract (long-term)
  • Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
  • Pay Rate – GBP 90 – GBP 110 (negotiable, based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and scaffolding children in the classroom
  • Preparing resources with the teacher
  • Collaborating effectively with other professionals and parents/carers
  • Adapting practices to support the varied needs of children

Qualifications and experience required:

  • At least Level 2 trained
  • GCSE English and Maths grade C or above

Eligibility criteria through Prospero Teaching:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references
