  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork with pupils, parents and staff.
  • Resilience and adaptability to the challenges of special education.
  • Knowledge of current SEN practices and legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a small class of primary-aged pupils with special educational needs.
  • Create individualised education plans (IEPs) for each pupil.
  • Implement engaging teaching strategies for diverse learning styles.
  • Use specialised resources to support learning and development.
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists and parents.
  • Assess progress and provide feedback to pupils, parents and leadership.
  • Support inclusive and nurturing ethos and positive behaviour.
  • Participate in professional development.
