Job summary

Are you an experienced SEN Teacher looking for flexible work across Leicester City?

TeacherActive is working with a range of SEND schools and specialist provisions that are looking for passionate, adaptable teachers to support pupils with a variety of additional needs.

Whether you are looking for day-to-day supply, part-time hours or longer-term work, we can offer flexibility around your availability.

The role may include:

• Teaching pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Delivering engaging and accessible lessons
• Adapting learning to individual needs and abilities
• Supporting pupils with communication, behaviour and emotional regulation
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff
• Creating a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment

We are looking for:

• QTS or a recognised teaching qualification
• Experience working with SEND pupils
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Confidence supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD or complex needs
• A genuine passion for helping young people progress
