Job summary

Job description

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Registered Children’s Nurse to join our forward-thinking Special Needs Nursing Service in Manchester.

Position Details
  • 12-month fixed-term role
  • 26 hours per week, term-time only
  • Supporting children and young people (CYP) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
Requirements
  • Must be a car driver and owner, able to cover the Manchester citywide service area
Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver evidence-based nursing care to children with complex medical needs and SEND in school and community settings
  2. Work autonomously and as part of a team to assess, plan, and implement care for CYP with complex health needs
  3. Provide health promotion tailored to children with SEND, focusing on improving health outcomes
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support children with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Complex Health Needs
  5. Develop care plans and deliver training to school staff, parents, and caregivers to ensure safe attendance at school
  6. Act as an advocate and safeguard vulnerable children
