Job summary

Empowering Learning seeks a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism and other complex needs in Enfield. The role involves 1:1 or group support within the classroom and assisting with personal care as required. Training is provided and DBS checks are required.

Ideal for caring, empathetic individuals who are resilient and adaptable to different learning levels. Full-time position with ongoing training opportunities via Empowering Learning.

Qualifications

• Adaptable and willing to work with different age groups.
• Willing to support children with learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS.
• Available 5 days a week.

SEND Teaching Assistant (Autism)

Secondary Enfield Full-Time Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Empowering Learning are currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work with pupils with Learning Difficulties in Enfield. We are seeking Teaching Assistants with a background of supporting children or adults with Complex Needs, Autism or Learning Difficulties.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate a caring and empathetic nature towards the pupils but also remain resilient and patient under difficult scenarios. The school would like positive and versatile SEN Teaching Assistants, with a keen interest in supporting pupils of different learning levels.

No experience is required to apply as school offers lots of ongoing training to all staff.
